Veteran Ghanaian musician Akosua Agyapong has offered some tough-love advice to actress and musician Yaa Jackson after the young entertainer named her as a role model.

While expressing happiness about being admired by the younger artist, Agyapong emphasized that genuine admiration should translate to emulating positive behavior, particularly in dressing and speech.

Speaking with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, the veteran musician stated: “She should also embody my behavior, my style of fashion, and how she dresses and the way I talk and all that.”

Agyapong believes Jackson has significant work to do in these areas, noting that behavior-wise, they are “far apart.” She suggested that some of Jackson’s actions might stem from competition and pressure rather than authenticity.

The music icon advised the young actress to “relax and be herself” rather than feeling pressured to impress others. “She shouldn’t be pressured by anyone or go out of her way to impress anyone,” Agyapong counseled, adding that Jackson shouldn’t “break a door when someone is about to open it.”

The comments reflect a growing concern among veteran entertainers about the conduct and presentation of younger artists in Ghana’s entertainment industry, particularly regarding public image and professional demeanor.
